In early 2024, I was commissioned for a freelance project to completely redesign a map of Florida’s Siesta Key for a local news publication. The client requested updates to the typography, modifications to the iconography, and increased space for advertising. Due to the unavailability of the original design file, the project required innovative problem-solving. I utilized Illustrator for the primary design work and Photoshop for asset editing, resulting in a final deliverable that is clearer and meets the client’s requirements.In addition to the map redesign, I was also tasked with editing weekly video episodes for the publication’s YouTube podcast. I was provided all media assets, which I synthesized and refined to enhance video quality and ensure clear, balanced sound. This ongoing project has honed my ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality. Each episode demanded careful attention to detail and a cohesive visual style to align with the publication’s branding.
