During my internship with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), I led the creation of an animated version of their Unconventional Engineering podcast, a project designed to enhance social media engagement. This involved designing characters in Illustrator based on reference images of the co-hosts, rigging and lip-syncing them in Adobe Character Animator, and animating diverse backgrounds in Illustrator and After Effects, such as a spaceship, greenhouse, science lab, and the interior of a grandfather clock. Using After Effects and Premiere, I integrated the characters and backgrounds into dynamic sequences, creating various angles and a custom animated intro for the podcast.
Additionally, I contributed to ASME's social media strategy by developing short animations for holidays, elevating their content beyond static imagery. Each month, I selected key holidays, designed visuals in Illustrator or Photoshop, and animated them in After Effects to produce engaging variations tailored for their platforms. These projects not only diversified ASME's content but also strengthened my technical skills across multiple design and animation tools.
